Baylee Hertel has been dancing since the age of three, beginning her training at The Dance Factory in Delavan, Wisconsin, where she studied ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip‑hop, and contemporary. She continued her dance education at Western Michigan University, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a certificate in Dance Studio Management. While at WMU, she performed works by choreographers Marisa Bianian, Jeremy Blair, Roderick George, and Jackie Nowicki. She also performed Lily of the Nile by Loïe Fuller, reconstructed by Megan Slayter and Jessica Lindberg Coxe, along with various student works. In 2024–2025, Baylee trained with the university’s touring dance company, Western Dance Project, under the artistic direction of Kelsey Paschich. She choreographed works including 3302 and Between Push and Pull, and co‑choreographed Existence Is alongside Olivia Gray. Outside of performance, Baylee served on the Orchesis Dance Society board as a member of the Social Media Committee (2023–2025) and was the Fundraising Coordinator for Movement Exchange (2022–2025). Upon graduation, Baylee joined CPR Dance Inhale Movement under the direction of Carolyn Pampalone Rabbers. She performed works by Seyong Kim, Carolyn Pampalone Rabbers, Sara Kausch, Sayiga Eugene Peabody, Paige Mulick, Bucket Panavong, and Wolfgang Goluska.
